Born Arumugam Rajashekar aka Amma Rajasekhar is a dancer, director, and movie star known among many others for his work in such films as Ranam, Takkari, Satyam, and Salute.

His father being a combat master, Amma Rajasekhar frequently attended film shoots with him and fell in love with the craft. He learnt to dance in his early days as a friend of Anthony Master and later trained under Tara Master. His gateway to the film industry as a choreographer is via Tamil cinema.

While he set himself up as a choreographer, directing films was his true passion which he later had the ability to follow. Rajashekar made his debut with Gopichand and Kamna Jethmalani starrer, Ranam in 2006, which proved to be a success at the box office and made him a celebrity. He collaborated with Ravi Teja for the film Khatarnak that stars Ileana D’Cruz, Biju Menon, and Kota Srinivasa Rao the same year. Following the man that Khatarnak is, Rajashekar tried his luck with Nitin and Sadaf with a love tale named Takkari.

In 2009 Rajashekar directed a film produced by G called Bheebatsam. Srinivas Jad. Later on Amma Rajasekhar put much thought into Telugu TV. Along with Shiva Shankar Master, ‘Gharshana’ hosted by Shilpa Chakraborty along with Sangeetha and Baba Bhaskar, ‘Rangam 2’ hosted by Udaya Bhanu along with Gautami and Nataraj Master, he judged famous dance reality TV shows ‘Challenge’
